Cutting Glass

What is Cutting glass? Why am I asking you. Your the one reading this page.

The process of cutting glass is done in four steps.

The first step, in cutting glass is called the mill cut, it is created with the use of a steel wheel and abrasive dripping on the edge. This is a rough cut on your glassware piece. The second step is the smoothing cut using a stone wheel with a finer abrasive being dripped on it. The third step is the rough polish which uses a wood or felt wheel. The fourth and final step is the final polish. This is done using a buffer. Professional glaziers and stained glass artisans do some cutting, but is is ussually done for a custom designed piece of glass work.. Machines that bevel are pletiful in this day in age and thus glass pieces that are commercially bevelled are pretty much inexpensive. Cut Glass
