- Volvanic glasses
- Impactites

Can you say those four words five times fast? Thought not.
Volcanic glass was formed by the rapid cooling of lava. The second form of glass formed in nature are called Impacites. These were made by the fusion of rocks generated by the impact of meteorites on the earth. Tektites are the third form of natures glass and are small glassy objects and are probably related to impacites. The last form of glass occuring in nature are Fulgurites. When it comes to glass formed in nature fulgurites are the rarest form. Fulgurites are long and narrow branching tubes of fused material. This glass was formed in loose sediment by lightning.
